20230527-Ruminating on Divisions and the Inevitable Breakup of Canada

In a video on just how bad David Johnston's whitewash of Trudeau's utter lack of reaction to Chinese interference in our elections, I dropped a line about enjoying the last few years of Canada.

The demented dominion isn't so much a country as it is a set of incompatible regions, spackled together for the express purpose of not being American. It has shambled on for 150 years, with the internal contradictions and divisions getting worse and worse.

It can't go on, and what can't go on, won't go on.

Personally, I think Canada is doomed to breakup, and lay out some of my reasoning within.
