Bottom of the 10th and Clem Labine just threw 10 innings of shutout ball. Jackie Robinson gets the game winning hit as the Dodgers beat the Yankees 1-0 to tie the series. It would be hit last game winning hit as he retired from baseball before the 1957 season. Having been traded to the Giants, he retired rather than play for his hated rival.
