Wood heat isn't free!!!

"Free wood heat" or "heat your home for free with wood"???? It's NOT free!!! The new chainsaw I'm saving for is $1,300 (the old one was $600) that splitter I'm using was just over $1,000. And then you have all the fancy tractor stuff and way better splitters that some people have (not me). And then there's the cost of your time. It's worth something (unless you're a vegan). And all this red oak may only last two weeks next winter if it's mild (well above freezing). But if it's in the 20's or less it may only last a week. So while it's great when you hate the government, it's not free.
