Breakfast Sausage Recipe
This Homemade Breakfast Sausage is so much better than anything that you will find at any grocery store. It’s easy to make, has so much flavor, and doesn’t require any special equipment!
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground pork
1 tsp. kosher salt
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1½ tsp. ground sage
1 tsp. ground nutmeg
½ tsp. crushed pepper flakes (Optional
1 tsp. fennel seeds
1½ tsp. minced garlic
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine pork, salt, garlic, sage, nutmeg, pepper flakes, fennel seeds, and sugar until well distributed.
2. Divide sausage mixture in half and shape each half into a log.
3. Wrap logs in plastic and chill at least 4 hours or overnight, or freeze until slightly firm, about 30 minutes.
4. Unwrap logs and slice. Fry sausages in a large nonstick skillet coated with nonstick spray over medium-high heat until brown and cooked through, 5-7 minutes per side.
5. Transfer sausages to a paper-towel-lined plate. Enjoy!
