When I found this on Marketplace for free, I was pretty excited. If you've seen my other makeovers, you'll know that I've done a few 'faux' drawer projects where I create the illusion of there being more drawers than there really is; this time, I had 30 real drawers to work on. This was quite the time consuming process, from cutting them all to the same length, sanding off the paint, smoothing all the edges, and cleaning the insides. However, time consuming does not necessarily mean difficult. The real challenge of this project was in cutting the body's depth down from 28 inches to 21 inches. I actually went out and purchased a reciprocating saw to accomplish this; I don't know if there may have been a better way, but after a lot of contemplation, that's the method I landed on. The cuts didn't turn out the cleanest -- at least not clean enough for me to want to present it as the front of the piece -- so I resorted to taking off the back panel and electing that as the new front of the piece, while covering up the side that I had just butchered.

If you enjoyed this makeover, please do me a favor and like the video. And if you have any questions, I would be happy to answer your comments.

Thank you for watching :)
