Bear helps itself to 60 cupcakes from Connecticut bakery, scares employees

In a surprising incident, a ravenous black bear stormed into a bakery garage in Avon, Connecticut, causing alarm among employees and helping itself to a delectable feast of 60 cupcakes before strolling away.

The staff at Taste by Spellbound had been busy loading cakes into a delivery van on Wednesday when the bear made its unexpected appearance.

According to the state environmental agency, Connecticut is home to an estimated 1,000 to 1,200 black bears, with sightings reported in 158 out of the state’s 169 towns and cities last year, the Associated Press reported.
