Guided by an eerie sense of déjà vu, Ellis gravitates towards the familiar rock, reclaiming the camcorder. This time, however, the game unveils the enigmatic red tapes, ushering players into a realm where past events converge with the present. Engrossed in the tape labeled "The Clue," the scene unfolds with Peter placing a toy police car on the ground, etching a cryptic clue into the recorded past. Emerging from the camcorder's view, the toy police car materializes near a flickering fire pit in the present reality.

Picking up the toy car and presenting it to Bullet triggers an immediate response from the canine companion, setting off a frenzied pursuit following the scent trail. Yet, the journey is halted by Bullet's sudden apprehension, accompanied by unsettling static emanating from the walkie-talkie. Continuing forward reveals an ominous effigy suspended from the trees, a grotesque emblem of foreboding. Ellis, driven by a visceral urge, seizes the effigy and dismantles it, obtaining a chilling victim photo—a testament to the forest's grim secrets.

Pressing forward along this haunting path, the exploration leads to a precipice. Descending down the ledge marks the gateway to the subsequent area, initiating a transition into the unknown.
