The head of Russia's Wagner mercenary group has claimed to have captured the city of Bakhmut, which Ukraine denies.

Kiyv says its troops are still advancing on the outskirts of the city, which they also claim to control parts of.

BBC Verify, the BBC’s new forensic investigation unit, has been using satellite imagery to analyse both sides’ claims.
