Robby Dube, the attorney working behind the scenes for Grand Forks, ND, citizens fighting back against China, came on the share that the Supreme Court has decided to reconsider the case for the citizens regarding getting measures on the ballot. If you recall, the citizens wanted the public to be able to vote on the matter of the Chinese wet corn milling plant, FuFeng, which tried to come into the community. Their petition was thrown out. They brought the case to the Supreme Court and said it was moot as the issue had been resolved. However, the citizens wanted it heard in case anything came up. The Supreme Court will rehear it!

On a sneaky sidenote, ND Supreme Court Chief Justice Jon Jensen used to work at GF City Attorney Gaustad's law firm from 1991-2012. He didn't recuse himself the first go around....will he this time? It would seem there is a conflict of interest.

Dale Pahlke joined the Ladies to talk about the new Dale Pahlke Rodeo Arena in Mandan, ND. Dale is a huge sponsor of many different community projects. His latest project is the outdoor rodeo arena that holds 4,000 spectators! There will be a ribbon cutting on June 1, 2023, from 11:30 to 1:00.

Joe Zollo of the Bismarck Larks joined the Ladies to discuss the upcoming Color Blast Bike Ride bike event for kids on June 10, 2023, at Harmon Lake north of Mandan, ND. It is also their opening game weekend this weekend! Go Larks!
