I purchased the Kent International 26" Synergy Tandem in black, and I am extremely impressed with this bike. It is well put together and rides very nicely.
My wife and I love riding together on this bike. We had a hard time riding together on our separate bikes since I wanted to go fast and far while she wanted to take it easy and ride close by.
This bike has solved that problem for us. I initially saw this bike on the big box store website for around $225, which I thought was a great deal for a 21-speed tandem bike.
Its been 6 or 7 years since I made the purchase, but it was definitely a nice buy. The men at the Keokuk, IA store put the bike together for us, which was a huge help.
Since weve been riding it, weve received many nice comments from different people. Our friends and kinfolk have even tried riding it on their own or with one of us sharing the bike, and they all seem to like it.
They want to know where we got it, how much it cost, and how durable it is. We take the tandem bike on road trips on the back of our car or camper. Its an excellent way to explore small towns, fairs, parks, and weekend events.
Its very easy to find parking spots for the bike, and we even hook up a tag-along kid bike for our grandkids or a trailer for a toddler in a cart. Sometimes we both ride at the same time, which makes for a bike train with me as the conductor-engineer.
Its a lot of fun and results in plenty of laughs. While this bike may not be the very best out there, its a great starting point if youre looking for an affordable tandem bike.
Youll enjoy getting exercise and maybe even meet new friends while youre out riding. Overall, I would highly recommend the Kent International 26" Synergy Tandem bike in black.
