White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre opened up a press briefing Thursday with an update on the state of budget limit negotiations between President Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) negotiating teams. Jean-Pierre said both parties have had productive meetings and share a mutual agreement to keep default off the table, but provided no further details.
