A pristine bride: the value of virginity for the church

The Bible speaks of the importance of virginity: in 2 Corinthians 11:2, Paul wanted to present the Corinthian church to Christ as a pure virgin. In Revelation 14:4, the 144,000 were redeemed from the earth who kept themselves pure as chaste virgins.
