The Call of the Non-Aligned
This film shows the recent fortnight long foreign tour of India's Prime Minister Indira Gandhi to propagate the message of non- alignment. Mrs. Indira Gandhi went to Nicosia in Cyprus and addressed the House of Representatives there. She went to Athens in Greece and had talks with the Greek Prime Minister Mr. Papandreou. Athens is followed by a stop-over in Paris, where she had a working dinner with the French President Monsieur Francis Mitterand, Onward to New York. Mrs. Indira Gandhi's visit to New York is primarily in her capacity as Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement representing over 100 nations she addresses the plenary session of the non-aligned nations. Mrs. Indira Gandhi was also awarded the UN Population Award. From the Government of India, Ministry of Information, Films Division.
