Symposium #20 | The Stoicism of Epictetus
Stelios and Beau discuss themes from the Enchiridion of Epictetus. After some general remarks about Stoicism and some biographical remarks about Epictetus, we dive deep into the Enchiridion of stoicism. We discuss the notion of ataraxia, the importance of internal freedom, and the relation between stoicism and fatalism. We end up with a critical evaluation of Stoicism.
