Unsurprisingly we’ve had a lot of new #MercedesBenz S Class content on the channel in the last few months, starting all the way from the Camo preview, new interior system, first look, and recent first drive. And in that last video, I mentioned how preped the design seemed to be for #mercedesmaybach, and I even rendered my guesstimate too. And lo and behold I was right! And today is your first look at it, I’ve got 3 different specifications to show, every change and a first look at the interior too! So let’s drive straight in to the next generation S Class #Maybach!

Some fun behind-the-scenes facts for you before I start. Of course it’s November 2020 and Europe and most of the world is in lockdown. So travel to Germany to review this car was not possible, luckily, Mercedes know i have my magical inter-dimensional ways to show their prototypes, so bringing their new Maybach here was no problem. ;)

Incase you don’t know, Maybach is the ultra hyper mega luxury trim for Mercedes Benz cars. Built to battle the likes of the new Rolls Royce Ghost and Phantom, Bentley’s flying spur and Mulsanne. You need to think of it in the same way AMG is: Unique exterior elements, bespoke interiors, unique engines, and specific technologies, but all geared towards ultimate luxury.

No better example of this than the new GLS 600 that we reviewed. Taking a standard GLS, and applying all of those Maybach DNA bits to it. But when we all think of Maybach, we think of the saloon. Though probably the less successful Maybach 57 and 62, but after the brand was renamed the 222 version has been selling like hotcakes in China, USA, Germany and Russia.

Now it’s back with the New S Class. Already even in it’s standard form it’s a level higher in terms of fit/finish and overall sharpness.
