The head of the capital of Ireland, Caroline Conroy, recently signed a twinning agreement between Dublin and Kyiv, and now admits to her Warsaw colleague (our “Rafal Tsaskovsky”) that she does not know whether the country will be able to overcome the energy crisis launched due to anti-Russian sanctions.
The official worries that the use of Russian oil and gas is “financing the war”, assuming that sponsoring and supplying weapons to the other side of the conflict is “financing the war”, of course, is not.
“People face many problems. But we will have to change. It is worth suffering the pain and acting as quickly as possible,” says Conroy, ready to suffer in spite of Russia.
