In this Video, I react to the first episode of the Mini Series ‘The Pacific’ (2010). This episode is titled ‘Guadalcanal / Leckie’.

Directly following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Sgt. Jon Basilone ships out to fight the enemy somewhere in the Pacific, and young journalist, Robert Leckie, enlists in the Marine Corps.

Sidney Phillips ships off to boot camp after saying farewell to his friend Eugene Sledge, who cannot go with him due to a heart murmur.
Eight months later, Phillips and Leckie have completed boot camp and are sent to secure an airfield on Guadalcanal, and defend it against counterattack.

This episode scores a 7.9/10 on IMDB and I personally would rate it an 8/10.

In addition, as per the Judgement on the 26 April 2022 in the CJEU Case C-401/19, Republic of Poland v European Parliament and Council of the EU: it was noted in that judgement that the interpretation of Article 17(7), second paragraph, requires that member states permit users of online sharing services are authorised to upload and make available content generated by themselves for the specific purposes of quotation, criticism, review, caricature, parody or pastiche.

This video as a reaction video for the purposes of quotation, criticism, review and parody falls within the criteria set out by that judgement and the mandatory requirements of the EU Copyright Directive
For any and all claims of copyright the following evidence will be requested:

- Evidence of Copyright or Related Copyright rights
- Evidence of breach of copyright exceptions as noted above
- Evidence that the video has negatively impacted the market share of the original work and that the copyright holder has lost revenue as a result of the video
- Evidence that it was not reasonable or fair to use the amount of the copyright work utilised in the video
- Evidence of the video being re-edited to constitute what forms fair use under copyright law
