Capitol Cops 'Emergency Declaration' as Truckers Gather in DC Area

The Capitol Police Board issued an emergency declaration Sunday to allow them to request National Guard assistance in dealing with the People’s Convoy truckers gathering outside Washington.

Congress members have been advised to either work from home or find alternative routes to commute as traffic in the city’s outskirts was slowed by the protest.
