House fails to overturn Biden’s veto on a resolution resuming solar import tariffs

The House of Representatives failed to acquire the two-thirds majority vote needed to override President Biden’s veto on a measure related to solar panel tariffs. The House and Senate had passed a resolution earlier this month that repealed the Biden administration rule that suspended tariffs on southeast Asian solar imports for two years. Biden vetoed the resolution on May 16 and said the tariff suspension was necessary to achieve renewable energy goals.
