#8. Pluto has a meagre atmosphere made up of carbon monoxide, nitrogen, and methane. When Pluto is furthest distant from the Sun, its atmosphere freezes, resulting in snow that falls to the surface.

#9. Sputnik Planitia, a "heart-shaped" feature on Pluto's surface, is the planet's official name. This feature is thought to have originated as a sizable impact crater that was then iced over with nitrogen.
