Australia's new high commissioner to the UK visited Assange in April, a move supporters view as positive. Assange, who has spent seven years at London's Ecuadorian consulate and four at Belmarsh Prison, fights extradition to the U.S. on espionage charges. Stella Assange asserts the Australian government has the power to facilitate his release.
