What is link juice?

Link juice signals how authoritative your website is in the ecosystem of a search engine. It's the equivalent of the strength of your endorsement in a network setting. And it's twofold: the authority you gain from recommendation and the one you gain from delivering excellent content. Imagine people connecting with you because a credible person told them you were great. A bit as if you wanted to create a tech business, and one of your supporters was Elon Musk. Instantly you would gain credibility and "authority".
On the other hand, imagine you can showcase your talent and that people love your story. e.g., a mountain climber who, mountain after mountain, shows his prowess. This would also increase your authority.

The best way to acquire link juice
There are a few ways to acquire links. One of the best ones is to get other websites to link to your own. A bit like trying to get into a selective club and getting a member to recommend you. As you can imagine, the more exclusive the club, the harder it is to get in. And the more expensive it is to get a member to vouch for you. So, if, for example, you were a coffee producer and a website like Wikipedia or even Starbucks was to refer you, your website and business would get instant credibility. Google would recognize this, and within weeks, you'd be climbing the keywords ladder for difficult words like coffee. However, not every website provides or sells link referrals, but it pays (and you pay) to get these websites to refer back to yours.
