There are numerous illusions surrounding the concept of enlightenment. Many superficial spiritual teachers and authors portray it as a solution that will eradicate all problems and grant a smooth-sailing life.

They present awakening as a means to fulfill egoic desires.

However, in my personal experience, it is quite the opposite. The more awakened I become, the more my life gets shaken up rather than neatly pieced together.
