Rep. Lieu believes GOP is willing to go to default and ‘burn the house down’

While speaking to a CNN reporter in Washington on Wednesday, Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA) said he believes House Republicans are willing to harm Americans with their leverage in budget limit negotiations with the White House. “I believe the Republican House Caucus is willing to go to default. And I think they want to burn the house down. I think they want to crash the economy because I think they believe that, somehow, it’s in their best interest,” said Rep. Lieu.
