Speakers from both the Greater Idaho state movement as well as those for the Cascadia movement, as well as general legislative detractors meet today in Portland Oregon to discuss the movement's progress in Oregon Humanities 2023 "Consider This" series on people, place, and power.

These guests to the Alberta Rose Theatre included Matt McCaw (who is the spoke-person for the movement itself), Alex Baretich who studies the Cascade's Bioregionalism and designer of the Cascadia Doug flag, and Carina Miller who's a research analyst with Warm Springs Community Action Team and a Chair of the Columbia River Gorge Commission.

They went over a variety of issues in conversations over the whys and whens of the borders are drawn by Idaho and all three content on issues along a personal perspective on the idea of borders and Idaho citizenry itself, as well as whether the linchpin should be based on either or all of geography, history, culture or any other criteria they end up discussing of the OR/ID border situation. The focus was in the lenses of this being part of the Pacific Northwests historical topics and dilemmas they have and will continue to deal with as is argued now.

This was reordered on Tuesday, May 23rd, at the Alberta Rose Theatre in Portland OR.
