Why were Gravity Knives illegal in the first place? (Frightened lawmakers 😨?)

Why were Gravity Knives illegal in the first place? Here are some of my thoughts on why this very impractical knife was feared by lawmakers in some states. I also talk about how law enforcement was using the wrist flick test to arrest people unlawfully, and what else could be considered a gravity knife!
