Dolores was blessed again to have a great conversation with Mary Davis! Mary Davis is a wife and mother, a resident of Alpine and first-time elected candidate. She retired four years ago after a 33-year career as a Police Dispatcher & Supervisor with a local police department. She is a member of the Alpine Community Planning Group after seeing a lack of community outreach by the County prior to making changes to roads & signate in her town. Mary Davis is an 'accidental activist' who sprang into action after witnessing the devastating consequences of arbitrary, politicized decision-making during Covid. She is not afraid to challenge establishment thinking on both sides, after several months of attending and participating in meetings across a variety of governmental entities, she developed considerable reservoir of archival knowledge and procedural insights, and now shares it with others in hopes of lighting the ‘brushfires of freedom’ in her fellow San Diego County residents.
