THE IMPORTANCE OF NEIGHBOUR PAMELA FENN IN THE DISAPPEARANCE OF MADELEINE MCCANN

Mrs Pamela Fenn was just an ordinary lady, and the most likely witness who could’ve heard or seen any abductor as her apartment was directly above the McCann’s.
The McCann’s first contact with Mrs Fenn was around 10.30pm on the night Madeleine was reported missing, when she spoke to Gerry from her balcony offering help, asking what had happened and if they would like to use her phone.
Mrs fenn made the first approach, and Gerry's bizarre reply was that 'a girl' had been abducted. He didn't mention that it was his own daughter, he did not mention any other scenarios and he didn't ask her if she had heard or seen anything.
In fact, nobody asked the lady upstairs the most obvious questions. 'Did you see, or hear, anything?'. Surely, any abductor breaking into their apt would have made a hell of a racket forcing open the shutter and climbing into a room that contained 3 sleeping children. Mrs Fenn heard nothing.
Instead of begging for her help, the McCanns tried to discredit her, Kate with her derogatory comments in her book "Madeleine."
Had there really been an abduction scenario, Mrs Fenn would have been Kate and Gerry’s star witness, she really could have knowingly, or unknowingly, held that ‘precious key’..
Mrs Fenn's statement that she heard a child crying for 75 minutes on the Tuesday night was hugely damning for the McCann’s, indicating the children were not being checked on every 30 minutes as the McCanns have claimed. She also told Police she heard no commotion from the McCanns apartment until 10.30pm, indicating there was no 10pm alarm. Mrs Fenn was and will always remain a huge thorn in the McCann narrative.
I hope Mrs Fenn’s final years were peaceful and contented. I think those who judge the independent witnesses on the statements they gave in the aftermath of what must have been a traumatic experience for all of them should really stop and think, how they would have felt and what would they have done in that same situation?
Like all independent witnesses, such as Mrs Fenn, it takes a lot of courage to raise your head above the parapet, so thank you Mrs Fenn, the lady upstairs.
