Pro-squatters march amid heavy police presence in Barcelona

Riot police were deployed in the center of Barcelona as hundreds of demonstrators gathered for a rally called by the groups that are squatting in two houses in the Bonanova neighborhood.

Tensions are expected to grow as Spain recently enacted a new housing law that makes it more difficult for landlords and property owners to evict non-paying renters and squatters.
