Beth (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a well-known writer, and her husband Don, a well-liked teacher, have the kind of relationship that, for the love of God, cannot be real: they're in love. Even after decades of marriage, kids, and their own successful jobs, their physical chemistry has not faded; in fact, they appear to cherish the opportunity to share a single ice cream cone and drive others insane, especially their son, Charlie. Is it any surprise, then, that his own marriage is in trouble? But when Beth realizes that Don has been lying to her about his approval of her work for years, her world comes crashing down around her. Is their entire relationship a big fat lie?
