Rock Drummer reacts and rates, Great Britain's 'punk band' - The Damned

This channel is all about music! Listening, reacting to, and rating popular and obscure music from the 60's 70's 80's, and 90's - Music that influenced my creative direction as I learned and crafted my own style whilst learning to play Drums, Guitar, and Bass.

Starting out at the age of 14 as a self-taught rock drummer, I have mostly listened to music vicariously through that instrument. However, after learning to play guitar/bass over the last 6 years I have started to listen to music again from a new and different perspective. Will these same songs 'feel' and move me the same way?

I will revisit classic punk rock, new wave, rock, ballad rock, metal, and progressive rock songs again for the first time in 20 years and give my new perspective by reacting live right here on YouTube and giving a brief review/analysis of the song itself and finally a rating. Also, how does the song sound differently today, if at all?

Good, bad, or indifferent. Honesty will rue the day.

Lyrics:

I'm normal outside, he's evil inside
I'm Dr. Jekyll and he's Mr Hyde
I try to be true, he tries to be cruel
I'll hold you gently but he'll smother you
My clothes will impress you
And my claws will undress you
I'm normal outside, he's evil inside
I'm Dr. Jekyll and he's Mr Hyde
I want what's right
He walks in the night
Searching for sin in his
Decadent life
My charms will beguile you
And my arms will defile you
Me, I'm on the side of the angels
But the Devil is my best friend
Sin is a way of life
Saints are for suckers
Welcome to the underworld
I start where nightmares end
Two for the price of one
Two, for the price of one I'm normal outside, he's evil inside
I'm Dr. Jekyll and he's Mr Hyde
I try to be true, he tries to be cruel
I'll hold you gently but he'll smother you
My clothes will impress you
And my claws will undress you
