WSJ: Special Counsel Is Wrapping Up Trump Mar-a-Lago Probe

According to individuals familiar with the matter, special counsel Jack Smith is nearing the conclusion of his criminal investigation into whether former President Donald Trump mishandled classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Within Trump’s inner circle, some of his close associates are preparing for the possibility of his indictment and foresee the potential for fundraising opportunities arising from such a prosecution, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Meanwhile, internal conflicts within the Trump legal team have resulted in the departure of a key lawyer.
