Wall Street couldn’t write a better script for the latest episode of the "Biden family drama." It’s a gnarled spaghetti pile of international intrigue, corporate chicanery, and political heavy-handedness that would put "House of Cards" to shame.

In 2014, the Bidens, acting like a clan out of a daytime soap opera, had their hands in multiple pies, one of them being Metabiota, a biolab project based in Ukraine. Metabiota, by the way, didn’t just twiddle its thumbs. It swooped in like a hawk, securing a $23.9 million dollar Department of Defense contract. Meanwhile, Hunter Biden, with a healthy $500,000 investment from his fund, Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners, was betting his chips on this same biolab project.

At this time, Joe Biden, the man who’s been living inside the Beltway longer than most of us have been alive, was serving as Vice President. Coincidence? With the Bidens, the line between chance and choreography is often blurry, if not invisible.

Two years later, this tableau took a new twist. Accusations emerged that President Biden had put his vice-like grip on Ukraine, bulldozing them into firing a Prosecutor who was sniffing around corruption allegations tied to Hunter Biden’s dealings in Ukraine. Here, you might think that the supposed watchdogs of democracy have taken a long nap, a la Rip Van Winkle.

But the pot really boiled over in 2022 when Russia stomped into Ukraine, slinging accusations that the bio-labs were inextricably linked to the Bidens. Add to that, the Biden Administration, like a high-stakes poker player, allegedly tossed in upwards of $75 billion dollars to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, an organization whispered to harbor Nazi sympathies.

In this convoluted quagmire, critics are clawing at the "Trading With The Enemy Act". Why aren’t the Bidens facing the music as did the Union Banking Corporation, a US bank caught red-handed funding the Nazis in 1942?

But here’s the rub. The Act typically comes into play in times of declared war, a condition that hasn’t materialized in the contemporary scenario. Plus, despite the cobweb of claims, none offer a smoking gun of the Bidens openly colluding with an enemy state.

In this sordid tale, the one glaring truth is that we, the public, have become mere spectators in a game of political chess. It's about time we remind ourselves of our role as the referees, not the spectators, in this grand political arena. After all, democracy without accountability is nothing but a charade. And who better to demand this accountability than us?
