AD&D 1e Magic Resistance vs 2e Magic Resistance - Its Not How I Remembered It

In AD&D 1e, magic resistance is based off the expectation that the caster is 11th level, and increases 5% per level less than 11th, and decreases 5% per level above 11th level. I remembered it as increasing or decreasing based on target level vs caster level.

In AD&D 2e, magic resistance is constant, regardless of the level of the caster.
