Strata Mat is an uncoupling membrane with a fleece installed to the underside. The matting has a grid structure of cavities and the matting is specifically designed for ceramic, porcelain and stone installations.

Designed to replace traditional underlayment materials.

Uncoupling: decouples the floor tile from the substrate, which means that movement in the substrate will not affect the tiles. This prevents future and expected cracking of tiles and grout joints.

Load Impact – Tiles that are laid on top of the matting are able to withstand greater loads because the matting transfers the load directly to the substrate.

Adhesive Properties: Strata Mat can be used with modified or unmodified thinset mortar.

Strata Mat can be used on an array of different surfaces, including: concrete, mortar, gypsum, and concrete.

Tiling can begin immediately after Strata mat is installed.
