AlTantoura Massacre- Palestine 1948

My grandma Watfa Abdelmoati (Um Suheil Abu Hana) may Allah grants her mercy, talking about the massacre of AlTantoura, her village, that happened like today 75 years ago.
She’s talking about the zionists making 13 brothers to stand in line next to each other and then fire at them in front of their sick mother.
And then about the zionists telling some of the villagers to take the bodies, and burying them, she described the situation like putting in piles like logs.

This was a part of the events that happened before the big massacre that caused the death of about 250 in 22 and 23 May 1948 in AlTantoura Village next to the city of Haifa.

I was told that this was the 1st massacre committed by the zionist organized army, not just the gangs, to commit this massacre they cooperated together.
And also usually back then when they wanted to occupy a village or any other areas, they would surround it from 3 sides leaving one side to allow those who remained alive to escape and get to the other villages so they would tell about the horrors they be witnessed and then the people of those other villages would ran before they get to them.
But in the case of AlTantoura village that didn’t happen, they surrounded it from the 4 sides. And that was a first for them.

The horrid things they did, wasn’t limited to killing, raping and killing the fetuses in their mothers’ bellies or cutting their bellies and stealing the babies, were also a part of the massacre. That also happened in Deir Yassine massacre and other places.

My grandma asked me to move back her body to AlTantoura village when we free it in shaa Allah. And that is something I intend to do in shaa Allah.

We will not forget nor forgive. And Palestine in shaa Allah will be free sooner or later.
