How To Use Venmo: A Venmo Tutorial

Watch this video to learn all about Venmo, the app that makes sending and receiving money a breeze. Available for iOS and Android devices, Venmo offers a user-friendly experience with three main sections.

The home page provides an overview of your friends and their activity, displaying the money they have sent and received. The dollar icon grants access to detailed transaction and activity history, while the globe icon shows all public activities on Venmo.

To begin using Venmo, start by linking a payment method such as a credit card or bank account. You can even sign up for a Venmo credit card if you prefer. Once your account is linked, you can easily send and receive money.

When it's time to pay or request money, simply select the corresponding option at the bottom of the home page. You can choose from your friends list, manually enter a username or name, provide a phone number, or use an email address. After locating the recipient, click on their name to proceed. On the following page, specify the desired amount, add a note, and select whether it's a request or payment. Remember to adjust the privacy setting to "private" if you want to keep the transaction confidential.

For balance transfers, access the transfer option in the menu. Venmo offers two choices: an instant transfer for a fee or a no-fee option that takes 1-3 business days to complete.
