Here are some fun things to do in and around Dale Hollow Lake:

• Enjoy boating and watersports on the lake. Dale Hollow Lake is a popular destination for activities like jet skiing, waterskiing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. You can rent boats, jet skis and other equipment at several marinas around the lake.

• Go fishing. Dale Hollow Lake is known for its fishing, especially smallmouth bass fishing. You can fish from the shore or rent a boat to go out on the lake. There are also fishing piers and docks around the lake.

• Swim at one of the beaches. There are several public beaches around Dale Hollow Lake with swim areas, like Willow Grove Beach, Bear Hollow Beach and Ford's Cove Beach.

• Hike in the surrounding area. Check out the trails at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park or hike to scenic overlooks like Eagle Point Overlook. The Eagle Point Trail and Ford's Cove Trail are popular easy hikes.

• Visit Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park. This beautiful state park surrounds part of the lake and offers picnic areas, campgrounds, boat rentals, playgrounds, hiking and gorgeous views of the lake.

• Shop in local towns. Check out the antique stores, craft shops and art galleries in towns like Burkesville, Celina and Livingston.

• Take a lake cruise. Hop aboard the authentic sternwheeler called the Spirit of Dale Hollow for a scenic 90-minute lake cruise. Cruises run from April through October.

• Go horseback riding. Several stables around the lake offer guided horseback riding tours, including saddle rides through the scenic trails.

• Visit local wineries and distilleries. About 30 minutes from Dale Hollow Lake are two wineries, DelMonico Winery and Apple Barn Winery, as well as Corsair Distillery. Stop by for tastings and tours.
