Hell Creek with Mark Armitage

The Hell Creek Formation is an intensively-studied division of mostly Upper Cretaceous and some lower Paleocene rocks in North America, named for exposures studied along Hell Creek, near Jordan, Montana. The formation stretches over portions of Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
Hell Creek has yielded two of the most amazing discoveries of the 21st century. In the early two thousands, a group of dig experts unearthed a bone of a ceratopsian Dinosuar that contained soft tissue. Now how do you get soft tissue from a supposed 155.7 million year old Triceratops bone? Perhaps these bones are not as old as we have been led to believe.
The Ropen Radio is proud to have our guest Mark Armitage on the Network today to tell you all about this very important discovery. If you would like to learn more, go to dstri.org
