In this video I build a cheap DIY pellet trap using a concrete slab, wood and carpet (all it cost was £4.85 for the concrete slab, all other parts I already have). The DIY pellet trap was then tested and works! Catching all pellets shot at the target. In the video I was trying to figure out how one pellet ricocheted back towards me but I noticed after filming that the pellet hit the frame of the target which explained its unusual rebound trajectory.

This video is intended as a guide, you don’t have to build the exact same thing but you get the idea of whats needed for a pellet trap. The most important thing is a solid back stop that will absorb most of the impact, the sides and roof don’t need to be as durable as the backstop.
