Top Feeders - Cascade in a Heap

[Transitional Times Poem Collection] -
This poem envisions the potential competition within the hierarchical underbelly as it competes within itself for control and survival!! One can only hope that as such a process is ‘witnessed’ it will alert more of humankind to the various issues that have been at play within our societies and motivate understanding and solidarity.

This creation falls into my 'Transitional Times' poem collection which contains 'a variety of Motivational and Commentary poems exploring issues of the time'. They were written from 2022+ to encourage consideration, reflection and faith in ourselves, others and God. [R32]

Top Feeders - Cascade in a Heap

Top Feeders, bottom feeders, now all in the pond’s silt
Spreading their ‘roe’ and ‘milt’, amidst their own filth,
Pushing and fighting for where they now sit!

Corruptions and scandals, cascade in a heap
Helping those awaken, that were slumbering or in deep sleep.
Ordinary people and their welfare and pensions likely continue ‘taking the hit’.
As business corporations renage, fail and begin to ‘lose their wit’.

Populations punched and pummelled, now rising together
Up and out, to act as one, whatever the weather.
Perfect – just what ‘they’ don’t want – an end of division
for the unwoke now awake.

Over in 6 months, this predictor suggests,
Yet, is there anywhere reliable to place any bets!!
More a case of let’s hope I’m right.
As we many, are ready, for moving out of this night,
For all peoples’ and into full light.
