Locals began the initiative event with local issues as local Chair Tim Hazelo opened up the discussions on the fairway being restructured despite the wording on the lease being signed. Others, including Tim Eyman, Semi Bird, and other candidates past and present were there to speak about the gubernatorial race as well as the ballot initiative they are trying to gather signatures for in 2023/24.

Locals including a Fair Manager came up saying that they were changing the verbage, making no notifications to businesses that were in the spaces where the county and locals would in the summer locate their venues and stands upon the businesses vacating for the 30 days the fair would operate under, as well as restricting the land that could be used by locals instead opting to build worker housing unlike in previous and even restrict the amount of days the lease originally was slated to be in effect for.

Those in Langley, WA state that they are moving on county councils in the area by addressing them in upcoming meetings and have made some progress but otherwise are still in the dark over how the scene would unfold in the coming months beyond what has already come to light.
