So this was an interesting customer that had no issue with telling me what her first impressions of me were when we first met, when I turned up to quote for this job.
In the whole time of running my business, i've never had anyone say something like this to me before, and be so straight to the point about their first impressions of me before i even started talking. And if i'm honest, like I said in the title, I was so taken back by what she said, I was simply shocked and speechless.
But, after we started talking and discussing the job, and her past experiences, it became quite obvious to me why she had this initial, and some might say, harsh opinion of me before we even started talking.
So on a couple of occasions in the past, this poor lady has had various tradesmen come and work for her, carry out shoddy work, increase their price once the work was complete, and even had some garden tools stolen from her shed. This has understandably left her wary and distrusting of tradesmen visiting her to carry out work. In fact, i'm amazed she still calls people for work to be carried out after the experiences she told me about. The last time, a few years ago, the tradesman had a shaved head, and a beard, just like me, so goes some way to explaining her initial first impressions of my appearance.

Anyway, after we had a bit of a chat and a cup of tea, built up a bit of rapport, she seemed to become very at ease with me, , and was quite impressed with what I could do with her patio and driveway. So my quote was accepted, I turned up a few weeks later, and this was the outcome. Hope you enjoy watching this satisfying transformation, Cheers, Nick.
