3.There is no institutional boundary for any team. Members from different institutions can team up to participate in team based segments.

"Enchant Through Verses" Submission Deadline: 16 May 2023

𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫: Your time to shine amongst the average Joes has come, spelling experts. Or should we say “Orthographists”? In this solo segment, you can show your ability and hard-earned knowledge regarding this field to the fullest.

𝐼𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡:
1.This will be held in two offline rounds. In the first round, you have to listen to a list of English words and then write down the spelling of those words within a limited amount of time. The words will only be pronounced once.
2.The top 10 highest scorers will proceed to the final round, which will take place in the auditorium of Holy Cross College.
3.The final round is going to be a competitive buzzer-based round where whoever presses the buzzer first, gets the opportunity to answer.
4.Further detailed instructions will be given shortly before the beginning of the segment.

𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐭 : In this engrossing and multidimensional form of debate, you will get the opportunity of exercising your logical reasoning ability and argumentative skills to the fullest. Showcase your talent in this arena by switching your adherence to a certain issue or topic consecutively. A topic/motion will be given to the participants in this event and they will get 3 minutes of time to present their stance for, AND against the given topic/motion. It’s as if you’re representing the two sides of the same coin!

𝐼𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡:
1.This will be a solo segment which will be held in two rounds.
2.Participants will be given a specific topic and a few minutes of preparation time to collect their thoughts about the issue.
3.Then the participants will have to speak in support of and against the given topic.
4.The total time limit is 3 minutes, first half for speaking in favor and second half for speaking against the topic.
5.The top 10 contestants from the first round will move on to the second round, which will be conducted in the same format.

1.This is a poetry recitation based competition which is a solo segment.
2.The first round of this segment will be a submission based online round. 3.Participants have to recite any of the aforementioned poems and record a video/audio of the recitation. Then they have to submit the file in the registration form given below.
4.The video/audio clip must have a clear sound. Participants cannot edit or artificially alter the sound of the clip. 5.There is no duration limit for the recording.
6.Top 10 selected participants from the submission based first round will proceed to the next round, which will be held in Holy Cross College Auditorium.
7.In the final round, participants will recite in the auditorium.

3.Participants can wear the apparel of their preferred character. But the costumes and makeup cannot be indecent or inappropriate. Gore and explicit content is prohibited.
4.Swearing or using vulgar terms and phrases are not allowed.
5.Participants can bring their own background soundtrack and props for their performances.

2.The participants are given four different endings to a story (Note: NOT the beginning). They can choose only one of them, and write the rest of the story accordingly.
3.The word limit for the story is 250.
The story has to be in English. Use of vulgar or inappropriate terms and phrases are not allowed.The story can be from any genre of your choice.

𝐼𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡:
1.This will be a team based segment with three members in each team.
2.All the questions will be from the list of books, poems and other literary pieces mentioned above. So participants must read the required works beforehand.
3.The segment will take place in two rounds. The first round will be held online in a Discord server. In the first round, each team will be given a series of clues sequentially within a limited time.
4.The link of the Discord server will be provided via email.
5.When a team solves their first clue, they will be given the second one and so on. 6.After the specific amount of time is over, the teams will not receive any more clues.
7.The top 10 teams from the first round will move on to the final round, which will take place in Holy Cross College campus.
8.In the final round, the teams have to solve clues as well. But they have to physically move around inside the college campus in order to correctly reach the places which their clues indicate.
9.Each team will be accompanied by a volunteer during the rounds to provide clues and guidance.
10.Further instructions will be given shortly before the segment starts.
