NAACP CEO explains organization’s Florida travel advisory for African American, LGBTQ individuals

Derrick Johnson, President and CEO of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, sat down with CNN on Monday to discuss the warning his organization had issued to people of color and LGBTQ individuals who planned on traveling to Florida. Johnson said Governor Ron DeSantis’ policies had created a harmful environment for African Americans and other minorities and advised them to “beware” if they traveled to Florida.
