Why hasn’t Chicago Michael Jordan’s house sold in over 10 years?

It has been over ten years since Michael Jordan listed his house located in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park. The price has been cut by nearly half, yet still no one is interested in purchasing the property. The annual property taxes are over $100,000.
The original price was $29 million, but now it’s down to less than $15 million.
The house is extremely customized and tailored to Michael Jordan’s taste. It seems like most people with money do not share his taste in house décor. Things like the front metal gate reference his number 23. The entire house and surrounding property were built from the ground up to his personal specifications.
The house has nine bedrooms, but 19 bathrooms. The cigar room reflects Jordan’s love of gambling and poker. While I think most people would be ok with the full gym and giant wine cellar, I’m not sure how attractive the basketball court is. The three-bedroom guest house is cool.
People with knowledge of the situation say that Jordan feels his celebrity add value to the property, but apparently most people do not care to pay extra because it’s the former house of a celebrity.
