Is Prime Energy dangerous?
Since its launch in 2022, Prime Hydration has been a huge hit across the globe.
So when it was revealed that a caffeinated version, known as Prime Energy, would be hitting the shelves, fans were beside themselves, but some expressed concern.
With a whopping 140mg of caffeine per 330ml can, Prime Energy sits at the higher end of the scale for caffeine in energy drinks, and this is already on top of the controversial artificial sweeteners included in the ingredients.
It’s no secret that caffeine, if consumed in excessive amounts, can be dangerous to adults, and the limit for a child is even lower!
So, when Prime Energy landed in the UK, a warning to fans was added to the can, stating that it was not safe for anyone under the age of 18 to consume.
But despite this, one young fan learnt the side effects of caffeine the hard way!
A school in Wales has sent a warning to parents after a student had a “cardiac episode” after consuming Prime Energy and ended up in the hospital!
