DESCRIPTION: We call this setup the Yak Angler's Lightning Rod Pole Light system. It was a fun build and took very little time to build. The lights are waterproof. The remote receiver is not waterproof but can easily be waterproofed or put into a waterproof area on the kayak. The lights have a remote that allows the kayaker to change colors and modes. This pole light whip is a great addition to any yak angler's setup. You could take this light and create a ram or scotty mount with very little work. The end of the rod is just a 3/8-24 threaded rod. Lots of options for this setup. We didn't make a permanent mount setup for this video but plan to either use a ram ball mount or scotty mount modified to fit the light rod...thus allowing us to easily remove when not needed.
