Guard Passing IV: Crucifix Pass: Deceptively Effective -- Training with Shihan Cameron Quinn

This is yet another great pass taught to me by my grappling coach, John Donehue. It has served me well for a long time. With good rhythm and timing it requires little strength, but if you're young and strong it can work very easily.

When Uke presents the same side arm and leg, position your grips correctly, then when the time is right, turn the corner and spread the same side leg and arm as far apart as possible. Don't let go when you are past; keep stretching the limbs apart to prevent them from closing the gap. This lets you create as large a void as possible and allows you time to fill that void.
