The "Push-Up Pass". Keep Your Legs Safe! Training with Shihan Cameron Quinn

One area that stand-up fighters get stuck with when starting to grapple is getting the legs caught. Grapplers these days are very good at locking up legs and using them against you. This pass, which I call the Push-Up Pass (it might be known by other names in other dojos), is a strong and simple way to keep your own legs safe whilst reducing your opponent's ability to move his own hips and legs. The further out you reach your legs, the more weight you place on Uke's legs, which means the more control you have.

Use your head as a fifth limb to control his upper body too.
